This has been one really cold January. Average temps during the day are usually 45 degrees in this area; however, we have experienced single digit temps at night and below freezing during the day for two weeks. We decided to take a drive and check out one of our favorite spots – Bald River Falls. During the Spring the falls flow is heavy, during the summer it slows down substantially, then with heavy Fall rains the flow increases once again. During this cold spell it is just beautiful all iced over.
